High Altitude and You
Remember when you first arrive to take time to adjust to the altitude. Take it easy, rest appropriately and don't
over do it. Over exerting before your body can adjust, usually in a day or two, will
make symptoms worse. Avoid alcohol because it causes dehydration. Keep the caffeine to
a minimum. You'll need to drink 40 or 50% more fluids per day than you would at sea level.
The decreased humidity along with the decreased oxygen at this altitude makes
